Anamaria is a Romanian Actress. Her screen debut came through the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. The actress speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian fluently. Her father is the theater professor for one of the best Romanian theater schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 at The Mangalia Young Actor Gala. She was honoured as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress, who made her debut film appearance Sex Traffic, a British-Canadian telefilm for which she received the British Academy Television Award as the Best Actress. In addition to her outstanding performance in her maiden film the actress is also famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 Weeks as well as 2 Days which won her numerous awards, including an award from the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days) directed by Cristian Mungiu. The film was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). In addition, she appeared in Francis Ford Coppola's film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim in the BBC's Five-Episode The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular in The Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. Later, she had a major performance in the 2014 film Fury where she portrayed the role of a German woman who was named Irma aunt of Emma.
